Meandering through Twitterville, the flea market for your brain.

I was spending a little time this morning wandering through various destinations suggested by links posted by friends and friends of friends on Twitter and I found myself doubling back at one point, and realized I was meandering through Twitter as if I were lazily strolling through a flea market on a Sunday afternoon. I don't know why that realization struck me. Maybe because it suggests another way to think about the possiblities of social media as network of independent commerce. Or maybe I just like the dust, musty smell of it all, the banter and barter and discovery of hidden treasures.

Nice. I like this metaphor, which seems useful.
