All the world's a hybrid.

Watching with keen interest as the news/print industry comes to grips with reality and struggles to find alternative models that work. The Detroit Free Press has gone to a split-week schedule of online only, printing and distributing only on the heavy coupon+classifieds days. Should we start calling that version The Dead Tree Press?

Will such measures find their footing? Or is this just a tourniquet in a bloody battlefield tent?
